公益財団法人日本ライフセービング協会（東京都港区浜松町2-1-18）は、『三洋物産 インターナーショナル ライフセービングカップ 2021』（特別協賛：株式会社三洋物産／株式会社三洋販売、以下「三洋カップ」）を、新型コロナウィルス（COVID-19）の影響により、開催見送りとすることを決定いたしました。
先の予測がつかない世界的な情勢といくつかの事実を検証した結果、海外国との往来の制限が緩和されておらず、参加する各国選手団の来日が容易ではないことから、現時点においては開催することは困難であると判断いたしました。
本年、三洋カップ開催の準備にあたり、これまでご協力くださいました福岡市、福岡県ライフセービング協会、関係諸機関、関係各位、また参加を検討していただきました各国・地域の協会に対しまして、この場を借りて御礼申し上げます。また、長きに渡り、本大会へご支援下さっております、株式会社三洋物産様、株式会社三洋販売様へ深く感謝申し上げます。
いずれ世界中の人々が安心できる日常を取り戻し、多くの人々の笑顔の中、来年こそは三洋カップが開催されることを信じ、この事態が収束に向かうことを願います。

Cancellation of Sanyo Bussan International Lifesaving Cup 2021
Japan Lifesaving Association has come to the conclusion to cancel the Sanyo Bussan International Lifesaving Cup 2021 due to the situation of COVID-19.
We have taken into consideration, the world situation and numerous facts to make this decision. Travel restrictions have not mitigated, making it difficult for competitors to travel, we have come to the conclusion that at this point it is challenging to hold the event.
We thank Fukuoka Lifesaving Association, and other associates, and respective countries and regions, for the support and interest. We thank Sanyo Bussan Co., Ltd. and Sanyo Hanbai Co., Ltd. for their long and continuous support.
We hope the world will heal from this pandemic soon and hope to see many joy and smiles on the beach at Sanyo Cup next year.
